YOGA THERAPY

WHAT IS YOGA THERAPY?

Yoga Therapy is basically the adaptation of yoga for the purpose of healing.

Yoga has been used therapeutically for millenia:  it is a holistic and empowering means of working both towards the prevention of imbalances that can lead to illness as well as the management and alleviation of various health conditions.

Yoga Therapy is empowering because once the yoga teacher/therapist has shown you the exercises which are best suited to your health condition, you then take these tools home with you and practice them yourself.  Thus, yoga therapy is not about someone else healing you but about working with a qualified yoga therapist to design your own individual program for healing!
